Ahhh, this episode. Probably one of my favourites so far, what with all the jaw-dropping revelations.

It’s an all out uphill spring to the aces and Onoda is doing is very best to keep Midosuji from coursing ahead, but it’s proving to be a little tough for the poor kid.

“Step By Step”
「一歩一歩」

And so it begins! Basically, Manami has actual wings and, Midosuji, not wanting to be left out, has some wings of his own. And Makishima fangirls about Onoda, but in an entirely mentor-pupil way.

“Hakone Academy #6”
「箱根学園ゼッケン６番」

Basically, the episode that defined what we all knew was going to happen. Just, minus one, I suppose.

“Imaizumi The Ace!”
「エース今泉！」

And now it’s Imaizumi’s turn to prove himself and he does one heck of a job this episode! But danger’s looming just around the corner, so pedal while you can, kids.

 

Yowamushi Pedal Grande Road: Episode 15

“Naruko’s True Worth!”
「鳴子！真骨頂！」

And the race continues, with Naruko leading his team up the mountain in an incredible feat of determination and self-sacrifice, all to catch up to Hakone.

Yowamushi Pedal Grande Road: Episode 13

“Flat-Out Run At Lake Yamanaka”
「山中湖でのランフラットアウト」

Everyone’s dropping one after the other, like Midosuji predicted, but a sports anime isn’t a sports anime without its fair share of melodrama and boys being dudes and fighting all the way to the end before heroically sacrificing themselves. It actually is as amusing as it sounds, but one can’t help but want to keep watching, just to see how it all turns out.

Durarara!!x2 Shou: Episode 06

“The Crow In The Dark Night”
「闇夜に烏」

I can’t help but admire how attractive the kanji of the episode title is… More to the point, though, something big is brewing and someone is going to die. Well, I’m not too sure about the last point, but grievous bodily harm seems imminent.

 

Durarara!!x2 Shou: Episode 05

“No One Knows What The Future Holds”
「一寸先は闇」- An Inch Ahead Is Darkness

Shizu-chan really can’t seem to catch a break, and the new gang in town is intent of bringing the Dollars to their warped sense of justice. Once again, Ikebukuro is alight with danger and trouble.

 

Durarara!!x2 Shou: Episode 04

“When in Rome, Do As The Romans Do”
「人の蛹るときは蛹れ」

Hands down one of the best Drrr!! episodes ever.

I was already so excited about everyone coming together in the end and meeting each other and while it didn’t exactly go as I thought it would, it was still amazing. The level of fluidity and the complex connectivity between the characters in this show is just incredible and enthralling to watch and I think this episode really presented that aspect of Drrr!! brilliantly.
