“Sakamichi’s Job”
「坂道の役割」
It’s an all out uphill spring to the aces and Onoda is doing is very best to keep Midosuji from coursing ahead, but it’s proving to be a little tough for the poor kid.
“Sakamichi’s Job”
「坂道の役割」
It’s an all out uphill spring to the aces and Onoda is doing is very best to keep Midosuji from coursing ahead, but it’s proving to be a little tough for the poor kid.
“Step By Step”
「一歩一歩」
And so it begins! Basically, Manami has actual wings and, Midosuji, not wanting to be left out, has some wings of his own. And Makishima fangirls about Onoda, but in an entirely mentor-pupil way.
“Hakone Academy #6”
「箱根学園ゼッケン6番」
Basically, the episode that defined what we all knew was going to happen. Just, minus one, I suppose.
“Imaizumi The Ace!”
「エース今泉!」
And now it’s Imaizumi’s turn to prove himself and he does one heck of a job this episode! But danger’s looming just around the corner, so pedal while you can, kids.
“Naruko’s True Worth!”
「鳴子!真骨頂!」
And the race continues, with Naruko leading his team up the mountain in an incredible feat of determination and self-sacrifice, all to catch up to Hakone.
“The Final Strategy”
「最後の策戦」
In which basically everything happens according to plan and is a tad bit predictable but still kind of cool in that shounen die hard sort of way.
“Flat-Out Run At Lake Yamanaka”
「山中湖でのランフラットアウト」
Everyone’s dropping one after the other, like Midosuji predicted, but a sports anime isn’t a sports anime without its fair share of melodrama and boys being dudes and fighting all the way to the end before heroically sacrificing themselves. It actually is as amusing as it sounds, but one can’t help but want to keep watching, just to see how it all turns out.
“Izumida’s Pride”
「泉田の誇り」
Sports drama is really unlike any other drama and the level of testosterone in this show keeps on rising and makes due for some not-so-subtle yaoi undertones…or overtones.
“Survival”
「サバイバル」
This series. I don’t even know what to say anymore. So I’ll just say “ARAKITAAAAA!”
After 12/13 weeks, Autumn 2014 has come to pass and despite our earlier reservations, this season turned out to be pretty entertaining. Before we are snowed in with Winter 2015, it is time once again to look back on the shows that made us go yay or nay during this cool autumn season. While we did watch a considerably less number of shows this season, we still managed to collect a variety of thoughts on what we had seen (because we honestly do like to think… okay?). And so, here’s presenting 2014’s final seasonal best of – Koekara’s Best of Autumn 2014~ (ノ^_^)ノ*:・゚✧
