Noragami OP

Yato

「閉口して僕は待っていた」

I was waiting dumb-founded

「笑えるほどの悲しみを」

Sadness so big that I wanted to laugh at it

「閉口して僕は待っていた」

I was waiting dumb-founded

「涙するほどの幸福も」

Happiness so big that I wanted to cry

Title: Goya no Machiawase 「午夜の待ち合わせ」
Artist: Hello Sleepwalkers ☆

I knew from the first second of the epileptic opening sequence and the building, discordant guitar entrance that this would be one heck of a song and I was right. Goya no Machiawase has become one of my favourite OPs of all time and I have swiftly fallen in love with Hello Sleepwalkers and their albums.

Noragami: Episode 12 Finale

“Scrap of a Memory”  (一片の記憶)

Noragami 12a     Noragami 12b     Noragami 12c     Noragami 12d     Noragami 12e     Noragami 12f     Noragami 12g     Noragami 12h     Noragami 12i     Noragami 12j     Noragami 12k     Noragami 12m

I took a page out of Kiseki-chan’s book in terms of screencap formatting (or I tried to in any case, please forgive the sliiiight sizing differences) because there were just too many scenes that deserved a screencap of their own. Also, considering this is the season finale, it seemed appropriate. I have so much to say about this episode – this painful finale – that I’ve got to warn you before hand that while I’m going to try and keep this short-ish, there’s going to be a whole lot of stuff to go through.

Noragami: Episode 11

“Abandoned God” (棄てられた神)

Noragami 11c

The feels were abundant in this episode. SO many feels. But just the right kind of feels too because I’m a sucker for bonding episodes and the interpersonal relationships between characters are what get me really invested in a story and this show is just so full of all that. It kicks off where the last episode ends with Hiyori’s memories having been stolen by Nora and Rabo and her having forgotten Yato. Her memories of Yukine have yet to fade but even that’s subject to change and I really feel we get an insight into the kind of person Hiyori would have been had she not met Yato in the first place. She literally is a shell of what she was and there’s that distinct lack of spunk that Yato seems to be able to draw out of her. It’s sad for all parties.

Noragami: Episode 10

“Regarded with Hate”  (忌むべき者)

Noragami 10a

This episode screams danger for Hiyori and a huge mess for Yato and Yukine because what on earth are they going to do without their resident wrestling-loving phantom? Also, apparently this episode harks the deviation from the actual manga plot so I’m hoping it’s going to be good! This episode definitely was and we’re finally moving closer to the mystery that is Rabo and Nora’s relationship and what exactly they have planned for Yato.

Noragami: OVA 1

Noragami OVA 1

This is possibly the most hilarious episode for Noragami ever and was a nice break in the slowly darkening mood of the actual series. And it’s only an OVA, which makes it that much more impressive. I could not stop laughing throughout the entire episode because everything about it was ridiculous and hilarious and really cute too! In this OVA Yato decides to possess Hiyori’s body and essentially advertise his godly self in order to attract more customers. Through Hiyori’s body. And everything else that entails. It was hilarious. What was even worse for the poor girl was that it was her first day of high school and impressions are everything and “she” definitely made one!
