「学園の王子様（女子）の悩み」The Prince (Girl’s) of the School’s Problems
WOW. It has been a long, long time since I’ve reviewed anything but the time has come for me to start up again and get through this massive backlog. Seeing as Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun is pretty much one of my favourite shows of this super strong season, it seemed apt to begin anew with this one.
This episode was full-on Kashima and Hori silliness, with a dose of fantastic humour from the rest of the cast, whom we’ve all grown to love. I just adore episodes where they’re all present and to an extent this was one of those episodes. The basic premise is that Kashima’s feeling a little down and out and abandoned by Hori, whom she despairs hasn’t been paying much attention to her. And here, we have Exhibit A, indicating the level of Kashima’s need for approval from her idol, Hori-senpai. While Mikorin wisely lets her know that she’s obviously not being “appealing” enough, or exuding a rather heightened and concerning level of obsession, Hori relays his own woes to Chiyo and Nozaki, about how completely irritating Kashima’s being lately.
