Remember Death 「死を思え」
4 episodes in and I’m only now realising that this show is really an ecchi one, disguised very very well under the cloak of politics and war. And it’s great!
I’m not one for outright ecchi shows I mean, huge oppai is just way too far-fetched a body part even for the escapism anime provides. So amazingly, I’m yet to be turned off by succubus Artemis because the girl gets the job done man. Unfortunately incubus Priapos can’t do more beyond cooking since Maria has yet to give him the appropriate tools of the trade… poor thing’s really feeling upset about his lack of manhood and it’s funny considering how the irony is on the stereotypical male woes of inadequacy down there ^_- As funny as it is to see Priapos covered up by clouds there, I do hope Maria does eventually let him do his job proper! Viv (Mamiko Noto sounding snarky!) from Winchester sure felt cheated! Together with her personal agenda, she’s gonna make sure Maria loses her virginity all right.
Again, writing that just seemed wrong if taken without context.
Maria’s the only one in this show who wants to stop the needless war. Or is it really needless? The mercenaries and witches like Viv depend on the war to make a living. Without it, the mercenaries pillage villages of their fellow countrymen instead. So at the end of it all, the ultimate perpetrator of war is the ruler of the kingdom himself right? That’s an aside since it’ll probably be too much to introduce a new party to the one-cour show. God chooses to not take sides and let “nature” take its course, whatever the hell nature is considering all’s created by the omnipotent one right… anyway, Ezekiel gets her eyes forcibly covered by Priapos so she can’t see Maria using her magic and therefore cannot stop her per se. Glad Maria and co. got around that silly little rule of St. Michael’s. She doesn’t claim to be a saint like her namesake and aim to put an end to all wars. Maria does what she can. But Ezekiel does have a point – how does one choose who to save? Wouldn’t that be unfair? That’s probably why God doesn’t interfere I’m guessing but turns out, Maria did try to save as many as she could around her and for it she got thrown and injured by rocks. I got so pissed watching that scene cos people are just so dumb to not realise that as long as someone’s trying to do good, what does it matter where that person’s goodness is coming from?! Good thing then that Priapos got Ezekiel to realise that at least!
