犬神ステイハウス – Inugami, stay, house
In which we see the tactics used by Inugami to annoy the fur off of Kokkuri-san.
To get on Kokkuri-san’s nerves, Inugami has taken it upon himself to chew on the straps of Kokkuri-san’s sandals, bury Kokkuri-san’s sandals and find fault with Kokkuri-san at every opportunity. His goal: to send Kokkuri-san back to the other world. Poor Kokkuri-san has been so driven up the wall by Inugami’s silly antics, that he has resorted to stomach medication and his fur has even started falling off! No~~ what will you do without the モフモフ-ness?!
At the same time, to win Kohina’s affections, Inugami certainly has lots of tricks up his sleeve. He serves as her guard dog, brings her the newspaper every morning, terrorises her in late at night by burying her in his clones (soooo creepy) and even goes as far as to take ‘how to become popular’ tips from a men’s magazine. Oh Inugami, not that playing the beautiful man with a dark past never works, it’s just that it would work far better if people didn’t actually find out that you were making all that tragic past stuff up. Inugami really is a handful, and his outrageousness has even gotten little Kohina worried. In fact, she was concerned to the extent that she even considered taming him with advice from a dog-training book. Meh, what else can I say? Reference books were popular this episode.
We know that Inugami haunts Kohina because he is a lolicon possesses an obsessive love for her. The dude is so crazily infatuated, that he not only fantasises about being trained *cough whipped cough* by Kohina, but even relishes at the thought of force-feeding her cup noodles till she is traumatised (that was one dementedly sadomasochistic Sakurai there for you~). But what about Kokkuri-san? Of course, Kokkuri-san insists his motives are pure pure. Since episode one, he has been fussing over her, like a parent would a child. We know it is a promise that he made, but what promise? Things got a little serious at that point, but that’s all the hints we got this episode. Then of course, we got into the swing of things with more silliness.
And we add the old tanuki guy (Nakata Jouji, I can already sense the LOL) into the mix. At this rate, Kohina really will end up being haunted by something unpleasant.
The competitiveness between Kokkuri and Inugami is so petty but entertaining. Inugami’s creeper personality is kind of nasty but Kokkuri really allows himself to get riled up by it all. They really do act like father and creepy uncle to Kohina, haha!
