爽やか笑顔は真人間への第一歩! – A Refreshing Smile is the First Step Towards Becoming a Real Human!
a yet another stalker appears.
The first half of this episode revolved around Kokkuri-san teaching Kohina the art of smiling. Try as she might, the poor doll just can’t seem to put on a normal smile without the distorting effects of cubism taking place. So worried that Kokkuri-san would dislike her if she could not master a smile, she even went as far as attempting to order a ‘smile’ from a fast food place. Aww Kokkuri-san, you did reach out to her. She is concerned. However, Kokkuri-san insists that he would never dislike her. And upon making him pinky swear (if he lies, he has to swallow a thousand needles), she puts on the sweetest, most refreshingly zukyu~n smile ever. Oh Kohina…
With the smile saga over and done with, we move on to the next half of the episode. Enter Inugami, aka Kohina’s stalker. Having always been watching her, he professes to knowing everything about her – from her likes to dislikes, height, weight, measurements, BMI, bone density, number and locations of her moles, genetic makeup… it’s no wonder he knew that bribing her with cup noodles would get her to form a contract with him. Talk about creepy!!
Interestingly, Inugami changes between a man and a woman often, because it was unsure of its gender before becoming a spirit (yuri route or normal route, how convenient… LOL). This transformation, however, did not serve to abate the tension between Inugami and Kokkuri-san, and an all out frying-pan-versus-firearms war breaks out between the two. In the midst of all that fighting, a cat shows up and lo-and-behold, that’s when the two canine species team up to exorcise the feline. But, all’s (un)well that ends (un)well, because things go back to normal at the end when Inugami reveals that she only needs Kohina and has no intention of making up with Kokkuri-san. Ah, the drama.
After a brief few words from him last episode, Sakurai Takahiro makes his appearance proper with his role as Inugami. I enjoy his silly roles best (Januar Ein in Senyuu and Miyuki in Diamond no Ace) and it is just such a treat hearing him as Inugami. His and OnoD’s silliness are a lethal combination. So be ready for lots of face palm moments as this dynamic duo gives us unparalleled baka-ness. They really take baka to a whole new level, it is absurd to the point of refreshing. That probably didn’t make sense, but when did baka-ness ever?! Lol. Saitou Chiwa plays female Inugami, and she’s… so convincingly creepy as well. Remember that this is Aida Riko (aka coach) in Kuroko no Basuke as well as Stella in Arakawa, and that kind of puts things into perspective (^_^;)
OP. Welcome!! Disco Kemokemoke by Ono Daisuke, with Sakurai Takahiro & Nakata Jouji. Oh the addictiveness of disco days~
