Aye, so much for the no-filler request. Maybe even the Hamatora staff have given up as well *sighs*

This episode was the filler of all Hamatora fillers. If you haven’t already seen this, don’t bother. If you feel bad about skipping the entire episode, then just watch the last two minutes after the ED, because that really is where this episode should have started. All we need to know is that Murasaki lives but not his Minimum, Art’s next target is Hajime and Moral’s assistant reappears.

I guess this filler episode was done to lighten the mood and provide a few laughs after the heaviness that was last week’s episode. However, it really could have been better done (or preferably not done at all), because this filler was highly uncalled for. It was so beyond unnecessary that it was difficult to appreciate the humour. Most of this episode was about the gang visiting Murasaki in the hospital, with the gag focusing on Murasaki being thrown off his bed after one of the gang accidentally presses a button on the remote control (of the bed).

By this point, all hope for Hamatora to redeem itself has been thoroughly obliterated. To stop myself from lamenting the fall of this series any further, let’s focus on the good points! Yes, this shall be a ‘let’s talk about how entertaining Junjun is’ corner~ Junjun as Birthday has probably got to be one of the silliest characters this season. What Junjun did with that Lemon-san scene was absolutely hilarious! I particularly loved the way he went ‘choi choi choi – hey hey hey’. He sure knows how to lighten the mood and put a smile on people’s faces ^^ Even though his role as Birthday isn’t one that is particularly notable (not to me at least), Junjun has really made it his own (as he always does, and oh so well) and it makes for such an enjoyable performance.

Nice and Murasaki shared a friendly scene, and we saw again just how dependent Nice is on Murasaki – the boy really can’t cook… While it was rather sweet to see them getting back on good terms, I was far more tickled by the fact that I only just realised that Nice and Murasaki’s seiyuus, Oosaka Ryouta and Hatano Wataru respectively, also play roomies in Diamond no Ace – as Sawamura and Masuko (pudding~). There is such a stark difference between the way they voice their characters in Hamatora and in Diamond no Ace, and that in itself is so impressive. Yes well obviously, for me to have deviated to this that extent shows just how much I concentrated on Hamatora while watching this episode. Ohwells~

Will sleeping beauty finally awaken in the next episode? Hajime still hasn’t had much of her story told. So with the creepy assistant lady giving flowers and uttering the language of flowers, I am guessing it is going to be all about Hajime next week. Just what exactly is Hajime at fault for? Again with the questions… ah well, an not really expecting anything to be answered anyway *shrugs*
