友達とのけんか – Fighting With Friends
The first fight between the two.
I believe everyone will agree with me that Hase is a huge, huge idiot. What he did to Fujimiya wasn’t all that nice. And, he should’ve heeded Kiryu’s advice; no girl wants a guy (still a friend, by the way) who is so possessive! And that delusional love triangle that he formed, it’s just utterly ridiculous!
Also, because of his behaviour, Fujimiya skipped class, and in a series of unfortunate events, she lost her diary D: the most heart wrenching part was when Fujimiya stared at Hase with those cold eyes of her. It was so sad! What made it worse was when she only remembers Kiryu. Well, of course she remembers him, but can you imagine how upsetting that was for Hase?
Fortunately for Hase, everything worked out in the end. When Hase went to search for her diary, it was just so sweet of him. And the fact that he was able to find it, made it even more aww. And when Fujimiya went to the river when he was there! There must be some subconscious ESP between the both of them.. Of course Kiryu helped, when he went to see Fujimiya and tried to make her remember her lost diary. Hase really should treat Kiryu to a big meal.
This episode was a build up from the previous episode – in episode 3 she remembered the number 18, and in this episode she remembered Hase’s name! (after a while, but she remembered nonetheless!) Is that a sign that her memory is improving?
I love how Hase panics over every little thing, like how he made Fujimiya angry and they fought. But what I love even more is how Kiryu points out all the obvious things in that stoic voice of his. For example, when he told Hase that Fujimiya will not remember the fight the next week, that was such a laugh out loud moment. Hosoya Yoshimasa did a really good job as Kiryu, being exceptionally stoic every episode, even when the situation is so tense and saddening.
The story about how Fujimiya got the keys to the roof by helping Inoue-sensei with the mathematics problems was really wow. And so was Hase’s reaction to it. Very hilarious, and very fitting.
As always, Isshuukan Friends made me go aww. The friendship between Fujimiya and Hase is just so sweet and valuable, it’s something that every one of us wants, do we not? And now that Kiryu (the silent supporter of Fujimiya and Hase) is in the picture, just makes everything better for them!
(On a side note, tsk to the three of them, skipping class due to personal reasons!)
